Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra's new mini-album is full of goodies! Collaborations with saxophonist Kikuchi Naruyoshi (DCPRG, Spank Happy) and New York-based pianist Uehara Hiromi, remixes by Nakata Yasutaka (capsule) and Sunaga Tatsuo, and covers of Frank Zappa and Charles Mingus.

The first pressing comes in a digipak with a 16-page recording session photo booklet. In addition early orders (at least at HMV and Tower) will be given a bonus "Euro Tour 2010" DVD, while supplies last.

Tokyo girl band The Suzan keeps going back and forth the Pacific Ocean of late, they've been signed by US label Fool's Gold on which they've already released a 7" this summer. Now here comes their first international album!

The Suzan have been active for a while already, they were signed to Sokabe Keiichi's label Rose Records in 2004 on which they released single "Suzan Kingdom" (2004) and album "Suzan Galaxy" (2007, Amazon).

First released in 1981 (almost 30 years ago!), Nomiya Maki's debut album as a new wave idol, "Pink no kokoro", is being reissued (again), this time with 2 rare live tracks as a bonus. This is a great album produced by Moonriders' Suzuki Keiichi, which includes "Twiggy Twiggy" (covered with Pizzicato Five in the 90's).
I personally love this album. Some favorites are "Motor Humming", "koi wa mizutama", "genbaku Rock", "Shampoo", "onna tomodachi".

This new edition comes as a higher grade SHM-CD (a format meant for regular CD players), with new artwork and a 24-page booklet containing many early and rare photos.

"Kaleidoscopic" trailer

Perfume has a new single coming this November, titled "nee". It can already be heard in a TV commercial for Natural Beauty Basic (the same brand for which they sang "Natural ni koi shite" earlier this year). The commercial, seen below, comes in 3 versions of each girl dancing with two clones. The single's B-side is also a new song, both are produced by Nakata Yasutaka.

This comes in two editions, the limited one containing a DVD of the title track's videoclip. This one should be pre-ordered early as Perfume's limited editions tend to sell out online before release, though they can usually be found on physical shelves for a little while after.
