Tokyo's Coolest Sound

This year again Record Store Day is being held in Japan, this time on Saturday April 16! A lot of special and limited vinyl editions are being released on that very day, and at first only available in physical shops. Usually a few weeks later they will become available online, though orders cannot be placed until that time.

Below is a list of selection of releases. You can find the full release list and the list of participating shops on the official site. Also check this page at Jet Set which has many audio samples.

Several events are also being held, including in-store DJs at Jet Set Kyoto on Saturday and Jet Set Tokyo on Sunday, and also an in-store appearance (autographs & photos) of Nosa Reina at Disk Union Jinbocho on Saturday from 15:00 to 16:00.

Both new recordings, the A-side is a cover of one of Nosa Reina's solo songs which has been re-arranged for the band by the songwriter Takanami K-taro (ex-Pizzicato Five) himself who also sings in duet. The B-side is a brand new song. Both feature Tanaka Takashi (Sunny Day Service) on bass. The mix was done by Illicit Tsuboi.
