Towa Tei has a new 12" single out now! "Sound of Music" is a cut from latest album "CUTE", and it features singer UA. Included is also a remix by Goh Hotoda and an instrumental of the same song, as well as the album's lead track "Luv Pandemic".

A release party of album "CUTE" will be held at Sound Museum Vision in Shibuya on September 21, also featuring Ishino Takkyu, Sunahara Yoshinori, tofubeats, Dorian, Yakenohara and more. Details here.

"Sound of Music" (short version) + "Luv Pandemic"

Producer Bajune Tobeta has a new EP out today! Three vocalists are featured: Nomiya Maki (ex-Pizzicato Five), Bonjour Suzuki (a female singer who debuted earlier this year), and Vivian Sessoms (who has been featured many times on songs by Towa Tei). The CD comes with a DVD of a music video starring model Fujii Sachi.

At the same time was released a 12" titled "Space Loungin'" of another song featuring rapper Shing02. Details below.

An album titled "Tokyo Galaxy" is expected to be released on September 16.

"Cocktail Party" (live)

Cornelius has a new collection of his recent works coming. At a first glance it seems to be part of the "CM" series (the previous was "CM4" in 2012), though this one is distinguished by bringing a good share of new recordings and rare tracks.

"Holiday Hymn" and "Tokyo Twilight" are brand new Cornelius songs, while "May You Always" (The McGuire Sisters cover) is a previously unreleased song that's been performed live with salyu x salyu. Also included is a brand new song by Ohno Yumiko (Buffalo Daughter), "Escalator Step".

Yellow Magic Orchestra has released a live CD of another held at Makuhari Messe (Chiba) on July 7, 2012 part of an event headlined by Kraftwerk, and at the same time a Blu-ray edition of their San Francisco show held on June 27, 2011 (previously released on DVD in 2012).

In related news, Sakamoto Ryuichi has announced that he is in great shape, and will be working on the soundtrack for movie "haha to kuraseba". Read his message on his official site.

"Yellow Magic Orchestra Live In San Francisco 2011" digest clip

This week a brand new single from Negicco has been released! "nee Vardia" is a song written and produced by Ikeda Takafumi (aka Rekishi). B-side "oyasumi" was written by Negicco's usual producer connie, with lyrics by MEG and arrangements by Hase Yasuhiro (Yume to Cosme).

The single comes in 4 different editions. Limited edition A includes a DVD of both music videos, limited edition B includes a remix CD, and limited edition C only contains the title song for an especially small price. The regular edition is the main 4-track CD only. A 7" vinyl edition was also released at the same time.

Negicco's next one man show is coming this Sunday August 16 in Tokyo at outdoor venue Hibiya Yaon. It will be backed by a full band. Details here.
