1. plantar "Mathematics" (2022)

plantar is the solo project of Nozomu Satō (aka M. Lemon, of caméra-stylo, Fujin Club, conte (previously Orangeade), Madame Croissant). The song "Mathematics" appears on plantar's first (mini-)album release, titled "‎Forest, Sea, Harmony" (Spotify, ‎Forest, Sea, Harmony - EP by plantar on Apple Music, YouTube Music). The album is also available on CD and 10" at the artist's online shop (shipping within Japan).

Also check out plantar's previous works: a collaboration song with Maika Loubté titled "Moon Flower" (2020), which was released part of a compilation LP in France as well as digitally, and the song "Plant Ethics" (2020) released digitally (‎Plant Ethics - Single by plantar on Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, OTOTOY).

2. Tetsuaki "Pia" (2022)

Tetsuaki, a.k.a. DJ Codomo, has released a brand new instrumental EP, titled "I Found Galaxies EP", of which the opening track is "Pia". The EP can be found on Bandcamp, and also on download/streaming platforms (Spotify, ‎I Found Galaxies EP by Tetsuaki on Apple Music, YouTube Music).

3. Lafuzin "Lunchtime Love feat. Okamoto Koki" (2022)
(Japanese title: Lafuzin 「ランチタイム・ラブ feat. オカモトコウキ」)

Lafuzin (Instagram), described as a "new retro sophisti-pop duo", have just released their first album in September, titled "Love Energy Motivation" (Spotify, ‎Love Energy Motivation by Lafuzin & BRIAN SHINSEKAI on Apple Music, YouTube Music). The duo is formed of main singer Mika Tamura and producer Brian Shinsekai. This song, "Lunchtime Love" features Okamoto Kōki (of band Okamoto's). Watch the music video below!

This song was released in April on 7", with for B-side a cover of Off Course's "Yes-No". It's still available at least at Tower (Japan only) and Disk Union (both shipping within Japan only).

A release party for the album will be held on Friday October 28 at Shimokitazawa Waver, starting at 18:30 (doors open at 18:00). Tickets are available at e+.

4. Maika Loubté "Mist (Synthesized Symphony)" (2022)

French-Japanese singer-songwriter Maika Loubté's newest album "Lucid Dreaming" was released last year digitally, and then just recently it got released physically on vinyl (available online via Qrates). Timed with the vinyl released came a reworked version of the album in which the artist interpreted each song on manually played synthesizers, and this can be found digitally as "Lucid Dreaming: Synthesized Symphony" (Spotify, ‎Maika Loubtéの "Lucid Dreaming: Synthesized Symphony"をApple Musicで, YouTube Music). The song "Mist" is a song in French, English and Japanese.

In other recent works, Maika collaborated with LISACHRIS (Instagram) for an EP titled "Hanabi", and the title song featuring rapper Chinza Dopeness has just been revealed.

5. Ayane Yamazaki "To The Next World" (2022)
(Japanese title: 山﨑彩音 「来世まで」 "raise made")

Singer-songwriter Ayane Yamazaki has released in May a brand new album titled "The Highway of Truth" (Spotify, ‎The Highway of Truth by Ayane Yamazaki on Apple Music, YouTube Music), of which the last song is "To The Next World".

Also just out a few days ago is a digital single of the song "Mimosa" (Spotify, ‎Mimosa - Single by Ayane Yamazaki on Apple Music, YouTube Music) from the same album (and which was played in a previous episode of this radio show), and also included is a new extended dub mix.

6. Final Spank Happy "tO→Kio" (2019)

Final Spank Happy is the latest (not to say "final") incarnation of what started with unit Spank Happy (first formed in 1992), a unit led by Kikuchi Naruyoshi who is well known also for his jazz projects such as DCPRG (aka Date Course Pentagon Royal Garden).

Final Spank Happy features himself as Boss the NK and also acolyte OD (aka Oda Tomomi of CRCK/LCKS, DCPRG). In 2019 they released album "mint exorcist" (Spotify, ‎Mint Exorcist by FINAL SPANK HAPPY on Apple Music, YouTube Music) on which appears "tO→Kio". It's actually one for which Kikuchi Naruyoshi wrote the lyrics, and it was first sung by another artist named Kemono.

Final Spank Happy's latest release is a song titled "Smooth Escalator" (2020) (‎Smooth Escalator - Single by FINAL SPANK HAPPY on Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube Music).

7. Francis "Bolero" (2021)
(Japanese title: Francis 「ボレロ」)

This song is by Francis, the solo project of Makoto Ori, from his latest album "Bolero" (Bandcamp, Spotify, ‎Francisの "Bolero"をApple Musicで, YouTube Music).

Makoto Ori's monthly DJ event "Terminal Jive" will be held on Monday October 24 at Shibuya Zubar from 19:00 to midnight. The first drink is ¥1000, otherwise entrance is free!
