Tokyo's Coolest Sound

City-pop singer Rie Aono is back with a 3rd original album. Following two albums produced by Seki Yoshihiko — "Pastoral" (2017) and "Rain or Shine" (2022) —, the new album "TOKYO Magic" consists of new music written and produced by Tōru Horasawa (of The Bookmarcs), with all lyrics written by Rie Aono.

The album and previous ones are also available via Rie Aono's online shop (shipping within Japan), autographed on request.

A free in-store event will be held on Saturday November 18 at Pied Piper House inside Tower Records Shibuya (6F), starting at 16:00. There will be a mini-live, some talk, followed by a meet & greet autograph session (details). Tower Records will give away a CD-R of non-album track "Sync of Stars (Bossa version)". There will be another free in-store talk & mini-live event on Monday November 27 at Disk Union Rock In Tokyo (also located in Shibuya), starting at 18:00 (details).

Then, on Thursday November 23, there will also be a special solo show backed by a full band, to be held at Shibuya 7th Floor from 19:00. Band members will be Tōru Horasawa on guitar, Wataru Iga on bass, Yūko Kitayama on drums, and Shinya Satō on piano. Find details here.
