Hosono Haruomi "HoSoNoVa"
Hosono Haruomi (YMO) has a new solo album coming this month! This is his first vocal album on which he sings all songs since "Hosono House" (1973). Along with many new original songs, included are covers such as "Ramona" and Charlie Chaplin's "Smile".
Featured are many guests including Van Dyke Parks, Koshi Miharu, Cocco, Takada Ren (pupa), blues singer Nakamura Mari, Iga Wataru (lake), Ito Daichi (Sakerock), members of Tin Pan Alley, and more.

This is truly classic Hosono, one of his best. To me the high point is "Smile". Maybe not quite Nat King Cole, but it's touching and beautiful.
