xiangyu "OTO-SHIMONO" (Download)

xiangyu (Twitter, Instagram) has just released a 3rd EP, titled "OTO-SHIMONO". "Otoshimono" translates to "lost items" (or in a more direct translation, "dropped things"), and her recent tracks about things found on the street are all in: shoes, gloves, and dentures... Check out below the latest video about inadvertently dropped negi (green onion or Japanese leek). While not an everyday sight, it's also not a very rare one in Japan as these may be the veggies most likely to slip out of a shopping bag. The EP can be found —despite not being lost— on your favorite download/streaming platform.

All songs are produced by Gimgigam, who has been producing much of xiangyu's music for the last two years, including also "Manhole", "tofu so good / Zarigani" and "People Dancing Future".

xiangyu will hold an event titled "bump vol.4" on Friday December 15 at Kata in Ebisu (Liquidroom 2F). She'll perform a special set with Gimgigam and percussionist Miyasaka Ryōtarō (a member of Shuta Hasunuma's Philharmonic Orchestra). Tickets are on sale via e+.
