Cornelius "Sensuous"

Yes! Cornelius' 5th album is coming! It will include title tracks from the new singles "Music" and "Breezin'" as well as the song "Gum" that's being used in a Vodafone commercial (also included on the "Music" single).

The album will feature collaborations with Kings of Convenience ("Omstart", and some vocals on "Music"), and drummer Araki Yūko on "Fit Song". "Sleep Warm" is a cover of Dean Martin.

Hmm, what's the likelihood of "Breezin'" being a remake of the old George Benson hit? Also, what's a "gayo"?

Best regards, Eddie

Could be, I just haven't seen any announcement saying so yet.

As for gayo, I don't know better than this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gayo

My comment:Isnt the japanese national anthem kimi gayo or something? So star spangled gayo is a mashup of american and japanese national anthems right?

When i heard the japanese anthem during the world cup, it clicked with me...

I'm probably reading far too much into a short instrumental but does the 'Scum' track, not a nice title you notice, indicate Cornelius's anger with the so called war on terror? Iraq is the first time Japanese troops have been involved in any kind of conflict for many years. They were sent there by their new modernising leader, who seems to like hanging with Blair and Bush, and it was not popular. Even more significant, this album is not available in the UK and the US, expensive import only. Is this because of poor sales of the brilliant 'Point' or a further, more extreme protest? I actually hope so.

(Sorry Vinnie that your comment took so long before I noticed it, it had ended up automatically "junked".)

I just wanted to point out that "Sensuous" has since been released internationally. It's available at a decent price in your country.
