Tokyo's Coolest Sound

Celebrating their 20th anniversary, YMCK has released a brand new album, their 10th, and it's titled "TEN+TEN" (read "Ten Ten"). The double album is made of 20 tracks, and as usual YMCK has a few tricks in their bag...!

The first disc consists of ten new songs, of which the first nine revisit each of their previous nine albums —"Family Music", "Family Racing", "Family Genesis", "Family Cooking", "Family Days", "Family Dancing", "Family Swing" and "Family Circus"— taking inspiration from their lyrics and melodies, and emaking those into new original pieces. To conclude the first disc is a brand new song titled "TEN"!

And that's not all! The 2nd disc is of remixes and covers by many artists who from in and out of Japan, each remixing a song from the first nine albums. Featured are Won Fu from Taiwan, Cyndi Seui from Thailand, and also Takeshi Nakatsuka, Chip Tanaka, RAM RIDER, HONDALADY, FQTQ, JETZEJOHNSON, and Sōshi Hosoi (feat. SUZUKA). This 2nd disc ends with another version of "TEN" rearranged by YMCK themselves.

While mainly available digitally, a 2-CD edition of the album was also made and can apparently be obtained at shows.

YMCK will be part of event "Ultra Flying Disco vol.6" on Saturday November 11 at Koenji High from 16:30. The event will also feature Qypthone (a first reunion in 20 years!?), Satoru Wono (with guest vocalist nOrikO (POiSON GiRL FRIEND)), Pasocom Music Club, P.O.P and Acid Tamiya 346.
