Tokyo's Coolest Sound

YMCK is back with a brand new 9th album, titled "Family Innovation"! Taking for theme technology of the recent years and apparently posing as an imaginary company, they reflect on "innovation" and how it affects our lives and the music that we love. In addition to YMCK's 8-bit chiptune style songs, which until now has taken inspiration of a variety of musical genres, three "rearranged" bonus tracks in which they do the opposite with their own songs and arranging them in non-chiptune style.

The music video of "hikōkigumo no Photograph" below is a collaboration with Riki Ōsawa with illustrations by Eri Kitamura.

The CD's booklet comes with a special pop-up trick, as was revealed on Midori's Twitter.

Check out this special site for the release, which features messages from fellow artists from around the world: 2080 (France), Bit Shifter (USA), Won Fu (Taiwan), OnceSuperPortable (Chile), Shakaboyd (Indonesia), :Poin7less (Korea) and Chai (Japan).

A release party will be held on November 15 at Daikanyama Unit. Tickets can be purchased via e+.
