Tokyo's Coolest Sound

Tetsurō Yafune Trio has just released a full-length album in collaboration with singer Seira Kariya (Instagram, Twitter) (who is also a member of HallKariMaako)! Along with many originals are included covers of "My Boy Lollipop" (originally sung by Barbie Gaye), "Smile In Your Face" (cover of Boo), "Jingle Girl jōi jidai" (Tomato n' Pine) and "You may dream" (Sheena & The Rokkets). Two of the songs feature rapper sugar lala from O'CHAWANZ.

A 7" of "Smile In Your Face" (with for B-side an edit of "Winter Collection") was also released for Record Day 2022 last month. It is still available at least at Disk Union and Tower Records (which both within Japan only).

Seira Kariya also released this year a solo album titled "Always Fresh" (, Spotify, YouTube Music). Tetsurō Yafune's recent releases are solo album "Song, Piano, Bass, Drums." produced by Konishi Yasuharu (also available on vinyl), and also a 7" of Yuri Kirihara with Tetsuro Yafune Trio.
