Saigenji "Covers & Instrumentals"

Singer-songwriter and guitarist with a distinctive scat style, Saigenji has just released a new album of studio recordings of about half covers and half original instrumentals, selected from his popular live repertory which includes a lot of MPB (Música popular brasileira). The entire album is performed by himself, with the sole exception of percussions on "Milonga2021".

While the entire album isn't available digitally so far, the covers "Samurai" and "Amapola" were released digitally in advance: ‎Saigenjiの "Samurai / Amapola - Single"をApple Musicで, Spotify, YouTube Music. In terms of original songs, the songs "Ajisai" and "Early summer" have before been selected in many official playlists on Spotify.

This is Saigenji's 2nd completely solo album, the previous being "One Voice, One Guitar" (2012). His previous CD release was live album "Live 'Compass' for the Future" (2020).

A special show for the release will be held at Ebisu Blue Note Place in Tokyo on Saturday June 10, opening at 18:00 (details & reservations). The seat charge is of ¥1100.
