Orwell / the paselines "split ep series vol.5" (Cassette/Download)

This month was released a split-cassette of Orwell (Bandcamp), an indie pop band from Nancy (France) led by Jérôme Diderot, and Japanese band the paselines. This release came as the 5th of a split EP series on blue-very label. Aside from two original songs by each band, also included are covers of The Pale Fountains' "Unless" (performed by Orwell) and The Vaselines' "Jesus Don't Want Me For A Sunbeam" (performed by the paselines).

Jérôme has also another project named Son Parapluie (Bandcamp) in which he collaborated with Isobel Campbell (of Belle and Sebastian). The first release "Paris n'existe pas" can be found on Bandcamp and also download/streaming platforms. It also contains a version sung by Sugar Me from Japan.

the paselines is a band that was formed 5 years ago, featuring Mayumi Ikemizu (Three Berry Icecream, ex-Bridge), Nakamura "Nakkuru" Takashi (ex-Cat Flowers), Chiharu Mizukami (of Dronjo Kept By 4), Mayu Nakamura and Masahito Oikawa. The band name is inspired by The Pastels and The Vaselines. They had so far appeared on compilatiions from blue-very label.

The cassette or download is available via Bandcamp, or the label's online shop disques blue-very. Orwell's side is also available on download/subscription platforms as an EP titled "Now That You Are The Night": ‎Orwellの "Now That You Are The Night - Single"をApple Musicで, Spotify, YouTube Music.
