Kaji Hideki "Blue Heart"

Kaji Hideki has a brand new album out this week! This is a first release on his own label Blue Boys Club, coming 1½ year after "Teens Film" (a collaboration album with Riddim Saunter), and 2½ years after latest solo album "Strawberries and Cream". "Blue Heart" features appearances by Neil & Iraiza and members of Riddim Saunter.

Kaji-kun can be caught live on May 26 at Shibuya JZ Brat in an event with Nakatsuka Takeshi and akiko, and also on May 18 at Harajuku Astro Hall as Dots+Borders, his band with Horie Hirohisa (also playing: Harvard). The album release tour will be held in July (Shibuya Quattro on July 20).

There's also an exhibition to be held for just a few days at Kit Gallery in Harajuku, from May 16 to 20.

So he's no longer under Felicity label...
The snippet of this new song sounds great. I really love this guy, his music and albums have constantly been brilliants since his solo career started in 1996 (and also Bridge, his previous band, was superb). I think he deserves much better recognition than he does. I'll be having my copy soon :)

Great! :) I'll be seeing him later this month at the event with NAKATSUKA Takeshi (Qypthone), should be fun!

Always putting me jealous :)

This is also available through Amazon US as an mp3 album, which is great as a less expensive alternative to importing a physical copy for those of us who have to:

Yikes! Apologies for the double post!

Good thing about Amazon MP3! Thanks for the info!

(And no problem at all, I removed one post. Sometimes posting tends to be a bit slowish.)

I was just wondering... did Dots+ Borders release something more, apart from the Tokyo tapes ep?

I don't think so.

But Dots+Borders did play a show last month! I'm wondering if they might be preparing something. Maybe it was just a "show up and disappear" trick though.
