Tokyo's Coolest Sound

French funk band Funkindustry (Facebook) has released an EP in which they collaborate with Japanese singers for their take on city pop! The featured guest singers are Toki Asako, Natsu Summer, Eri Takenaka, JiLL-Decoy Association, and EMI (EMILAND). The EP "Midnight City Lovers" is available digitally, and also as a France-released CD and LP. Check out the music videos below.

Also, a 7" of the songs with Toki Asako and Natsu Summer hhas been released in Japan. Details can also be found below.

Funkindustry have just ended a visit to Japan during which they played some shows and got to meet their featured singers, with who they had collaborated remotely to create the songs. I wish this is just the beginning and that they will come back again!
