sōtaiseiriron have been around for 4 years and have released 3 albums. This new one features songs from the previous albums along with some brand new recordings, all revamped by many famous artists: Cornelius, Buffalo Daughter, Sakamoto Ryūichi, Ōtomo Yoshihide, Suzuki Keiichi (Moonriders), Scha Dara Parr, Spank Happy (Kikuchi Naruyoshi), Arto Lindsay, Fennesz and Matthew Herbert. The album's title means "The correct sōtaiseiriron" (for those who don't know, the band's name means "theory of relativity"). More than just a remix album, it's said to be a "mutant album".
