Pizzicato Five "we love you", "I love you" + 15 re-releases
A 5th anniversary of the break-up can't go without a bang... As you can see below, most of Pizzicato Five's Columbia catalog is being re-released on the new columbia*readymade label.
Pay particular attention to the two new greatest hits albums "pizzicato five we love you" and "pizzicato five i love you" (listed at the top), respectively selected by Moodsville's Hirabayashi Shinichi and Konishi Yasuharu. Konishi-san's is to contain two brand new remixes by himself of "The world without you" and "Stars".
The re-releases will include a combined release of the first 3 Columbia EPs, "London-Paris-Tokyo + This Year's Model + Readymade Recordings", totalling 18 previous releases available once again. The track lists are same as originally, but the artwork has all been redone.

The Zin-say CD, a Denki Groove DVD, and all these P5 re-issues out within a week of each other? My bank account is going to take a huge hit, and I actually feel happy about it.

Je suis déçu... Les nouvelles compilations de Pizzicato ne contiennent pas de chansons disponibles seulement sur des promos. Les choix sont excellents pour quelqu'un qui n'est pas un collecteur. Personnellement, je crois que la meilleure compilation est "we love you". Merci pour le update !

En effet, il serait facile de rassembler les tracks des deux compilations. Certainement de très bonnes sélections mais rien de rare ou nouveau.
Konishi-san semble se concentrer sur le matériel plus récent et Hirabayashi-san sur le plus vieux P5 (années Columbia bien sûr).
Intéressant qu'il n'y ait aucune track de "ça et là", que j'ai toujours eu de la misère à considérer comme un album de P5.

I found it interesting that there's no track from "ça et là", which I always had trouble considering as a P5 album.

Konishi devrait faire un "Greater White Wonder". Il y aurait dessus toutes les tracks promos comme les versions de "Thank You" et "Let's be Adult" et la version "Cool aid mix" de "Birth of Cool!"
Je ne comprend pas le beef généralisé avec "Ça et Là". Il est saturé à l'extrême de l'esprit de Pizzicato. Voilà l'adieu parfait pour une esthétique musicale et graphique (selon moi, il serait erroné de considérer P5 comme un groupe) aussi éclectique.

ca et la etait excellent, un tres bon dernier album. Vraiment l'esprit de P5, avec le livre sur l'artwork / design sorti peu apres. La compilation de reprises etait bien aussi !

Trouble finding Çà Et Là a P5 album??? Except for the lack of Maki, I think it's one of the best 'last albums' in the story of music. Pure genious...
...but I always thought Konishi-san would do a similar album once he has a solo career, but no luck I guess...
I'm specially waiting to see the art of this re-issues, that will make me decide to buy them or not...

I think Ça et là seems more like what I'd like Konishi to do as a solo work than with P5. To me, "Pizzicato Five" would have been a perfect last album, self-titled and "Goodbye, Baby and Amen".
About the new designs, Konishi said that that they will look impressive when all put together.

Indeed, that could have been the touch to get me to re-buy them all, but it IS a bit mean. :) I'd personally prefer one CD of rarities to be released separately.

genius! I can just see myself buying all of these as soon as I can afford them.
I love the fact P5 material is constantly getting re-released. It must mean there's still demand... as there should be!
