Yashiro Aki is a famous enka singer who has been around since the early 70's. This time she releases her first jazz album, and it's produced by Konishi Yasuharu (ex-Pizzicato Five)! Included are covers of well-known songs from the world and Japan. The CD comes as a high-fidelity SHM-CD (plays in regular CD players).
Lead track "Fly Me To The Moon" is available in advance on iTunes Japan.
A live event will be held at Blue Note Tokyo on November 9 (official page). Few tickets are left at time of writing.
