Two interesting compilations of 80's techno-pop/kayō, certainly containing a lot of gems, will be released in February at a relatively low price.
The first compilation has 3 CDs and consists of only songs written/produced by Yellow Magic Orchestra members (Sakamoto Ryūichi, Takahashi Yukihiro and Hosono Haruomi) for other artists.
The second has 2 CDs and contains songs that don't have to do with YMO.
You can learn about most of these artists at the great and essential Techno Pop Academy (bilingual).
(I collected the release years below from many different sources, so some may be wrong.)

FYI - I know "datte, Hormon Love" on Yellow Magic disc 2 is from the YEN released "Ultra Psyche Bikkuri Party" which is sort of a comedy omnibus (radio?) thing with unreleased tracks by YEN label artists & friends. The Hosono music sounds much older than 1982 but it was released then.
You can compare these releases to the 1999 Techno Ca-yo series P-VINE assembled back in 1999. - I have a page worth of info

That song actually really stood out for me on that compilation! Crazy stuff! Doesn't quite sound like it had anything to do with YMO, but it's really fun!
And yes, not yet having been able to find all of the Techno kayō series (they've all been sold out since a long time... there are remains at Tower online and Amazon but orders were unsuccessful), I thought that these two releases were a good substitute. The Techno kayō series certainly have a lot more fun tracks though.
When you're in Tokyo you should try to check out the event 「ホイ!」 (Hoi!) at Enban in Kōenji, where one of the DJs is FUKUTA Takeshi of 8-bits (who selected the Techno kayō series). The event's focus is wa-techno-pop/kayō. I'm sure you'd have a great time!

I had been a YMO fan, so I also enjoyed listening to these two compilations.

BTW, "Sakaitsukasa Yūko" is correctly pronounced as "Syuko Sakai" in Japanese.

Thanks for stopping by, and for the correction! I fixed that.
I'll be studying your great review page carefully. :)
