It's a dream come true: Tokyo's Motown sound girls' group the Scooters are back! The band directed by Shindō Mitsuo have a new album coming, 30 years since their previous only original album "musumegokoro wa Scooters" (1982).
The first cut from the album is "kanashii uwasa" (aka "I heard it through the grapevine"), a song written by Konishi Yasuharu. Check out the video below to be convinced of everything. Sally Kubota also plays bass.
Other songs include one by Tsutsumi Kyōhei, another by Shindō Mitsuo with organist Emerson Kitamura, and covers of Bananarama and The Breakaways.
