Tokyo's Coolest Sound

Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's early popular song "Candy Candy" has been remixed by France-born Tokyo-based future funk DJ/trackmaker Moe Shop — also an Asobisystem artist, who has been very influenced by Yasutaka Nakata. The track has been revamped with full respect for the original pop gem. Hear it on streaming platforms or in the official audio clip below.

A Spotify playlist named "Moe Shop meets Kyary Pamyu Pamyu" has also been posted. Also, a bilingual talk session of the two can be viewed on YouTube.

The original "Candy Candy" was released in 2012, as her 2nd single release (following mini-album "Moshi Moshi Harajuku" and single "Tsukematsukeru"). In terms of KPP remixes, this is the 2nd, following "Ninja Re Bang Bang (Steve Aoki Remix)" released in 2020.

Moe Shop will perform as the opening act of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's three shows in the U.S. to be held this May, part of KPP's "POPPP" world tour: May 15 at Webster Hall in New York, May 17 at The Novo in L.A., and May 19 at Aniime Central in Chigago. The "POPPP" tour will then go on to Barcelona, Paris, London and Madrid in early June. Find all world tour details here.
