Hideki Kaji has just released a new song, titled "Summer Sunday Smile"! This follows the song "April Fool" released last April, a fun summer song with a touch of funka latina. It's co-produced by Hirohisa Horie (Neil & Iraiza).
"Summer Sunday Smile" was recorded with a full band, with Hirohisa Horie on keyboards, Hideki "Gen" Hara (Northern Bright) on drums, Daisaku Katsuhara (The Bassons) on bass, Nari (Scafull King) on saxophone/flute/whistle, Hiderow Nishioka (VenueVincent, Central) on trumpet, and Misato (Crispy Camera Club) on backing vocals. The song was mixed by Tatsuhiko Mori (hammer label). The digital edition includes an instrumental version.
A CD EP of the same title, also including "Naked Coffee Affogato" (released last year digitally) and a remotely recorded home session version of "Anettai Girl" with Hirohisa Horie on accordion, was also released today. It can be ordered via via Hideki Kaji's official online shop (where sets with badges or a T-shirt are also available), though shipping within Japan only, or at Tower Records shops.
