Tokyo's Coolest Sound

The new single of Francis, the solo project of bassist and singer-songwriter Makoto Ori, is a brand new song with lyrics written by Konishi Yasuharu and sung by Emiri Kanou. The B-side is "Sessomatto" from Francis' latest album "Bolero". This is being released on 7", not to be missed! Check out the audio samples below. The artwork is by Hitoshi Odajima. "Sessomatto" features keyboardist Hirohisa Horie (Neil & Iraiza) and Tomoko Kunimi (Wack Wack Rhythm Band, Sloppy Joe, nimit&co.).

A free in-store event featuring Francis and Emiri Kanou will be held on Saturday June 3 from 16:00 at Tower Vinyl (Tower Records Shibuya 6F). Those who buy the record there can take part in an autograph session (details). Francis can also be seen at event "Francis's Playhouse" on May 27 at New Fuchikuchi in Shimokitazawa, an event also featuring ShinRizumu and DJ nakayaan (Mitsume) (details).
