Update (2006/2/23): Double rectification. Sunahara Yoshinori did contribute at least a song to this mini-album.
Aco's next mini-album features a song produced by Sunahara Yoshinori.

What else has Sunahara done in years? Seems like he almost dropped out of the business after "LoveBeat" (2001).

Since his last album, I think he mostly did remixes, for at least Supercar, FUKUTOMI Yukihiro, Sweet Robots Against the Machine, and Port of Notes.
He also contributed to the "PingPong" soundtrack, and last year he produced a song for HIGURASHI Aiha and took part in Denki Groove X Scha Dara Parr, a bit behind the scenes.
He can also be seen on Pierre Taki's crazy "Beethoven live at Liquid Room", held in 2003 and available on DVD.
That's not so much over about 5 years. Hopefully he'll be back with his own works soon.

Maybe he's trying to hold the pattern of not releasing much of anything. I hope he's okay.
The page on his site for "studio working volume" on his site is kind of ironic. I've never seen it at anything other than 0%.

Thanks tons for that info, Patrick. I came upon your blog searching for new info since I heard about the new collection coming out. It's been racking my brain for awhile now what he's been up to since Lovebeat. I've asked on Youtube and Amazon but to no avail other than non-specific info about what I already assumed (namely production and DJ work). Someone on Youtube claims he puts out roughly a song a year on compilations (possibly under an alias), but I'm wondering if these are just remixes of older songs. He also did a Towa Tei remix, but I don't know if that was pre or post-Lovebeat. Do you know if he still does an occasional club gig? And do you mind if I cut-and-paste your info over to Youtube (with a link to your blog)?

I'm quite sure he doesn't have a _regular_ club gig, and I've rarely seen him listed as guest too. Personally I've never had a chance to see him.

Sure go ahead, thanks!
