The forthcoming Pink Panther 40th anniversary compilation album will have a Japanese edition with a Mondo Grosso remix as a bonus track. The album also includes songs by Pizzicato Five, Fantastic Plastic Machine, Koop (featuring Nagano Yukimi), Arling & Cameron, St Germain, Nicola Conte, Les Hommes and more. Apparently all songs or versions were inspired by the Pink Panther. Most were previously released though.
The Japanese booklet will also include a comment by Konishi Yasuharu.
Songs can be sampled at the official site.

This looks really good, but damn those CCCD albums! Means I can't buy it because I can't even play it on my Mac (even less rip it for my iPod and Mac's HD). Don't they realize that less and less people listen to music on their stereos anymore?

I'd be curious to try one on a Mac though. Perhaps the protection just isn't supported on Macs and therefore the CD works as if it was a normal CD? Just an idea though.
Anyway the overseas edition probably won't be CCCD, and will probably be cheaper too. :)
