1. usabeni "Bye Sweet" (2025)
This is the latest song by solo idol usabeni (a.k.a. Beni Usakura), titled "Bye Sweet". The music was written by Hyoe Yasuhara, and lyrics were written by usabeni herself. The jacket and music video (below) were shot in Thailand, where she has been traveling several times in the recent years.
The song is available digitally (Spotify,
, YouTube Music). It has been hinted that an album is in the works.
usabeni will appear at an event on Friday September 12 at Shibuya Loft Heaven (details).

2. THE LET'S GO's "Refrain" (2025)
THE LET'S GO's (𝕏, Facebook) have released a brand new single lately, "Refrain / Time Machine", their first recordings with new drummer Ame-chan a.k.a. Amechi Sparkle (ex-The Tomboys). Check out the sampler clip below full of recent pictures.
The single is available digitally (Spotify,
, YouTube Music), and also on 7" available at selected record shops (such as Vamp! Shop, Time Bomb and Disk Union).
THE LET'S GO's will tour Europe from September 18 to October 4, stopping by France, Germany, The Netherlands, The U.K. and Belgium. Find details in their live information page.
3. Haruko Tajima "Hypnotic Dragon" (2024)
(Japanese title: 田島ハルコ 「好きな眠剤発表ドラゴン」 "suki na minzai happyō Dragon")
From the latest album of Haruko Tajima (Instagram, 𝕏), "Rainbow Mements" (Bandcamp, Spotify,
, YouTube Music), this is the song "Hypnotic Dragon".
This summer Haruko also released a remix album titled "Re:Rainbow Mements" (Bandcamp, Spotify,
, YouTube Music), featuring remixers such as perfect young lady, PICNIC YOU, BBBBBBB, RIS-707 and many more. This took shape after stems of all tracks from the original album were distributed by the artist a few months back (distribution is over).
4. Packman "White State" (2000, 2025)
Packman (𝕏, Discogs), lately known as Dokuro Shiki, is an artist who is best known for being part of early-90s hip-hop band Space Invaders, and also for his solo unit The Robots. Having been recently diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, the compilation "Patchworks by Packman" of many of his musical works including many unreleased tracks — such as "White State" — has been released on Bandcamp in hope to help support him.
On August 13, a special respective program featuring him was aired on Dommune, and it can be watched on YouTube.
There will be a special live show to be held on October 30 at Shimokitazawa Club Que (Club Que where Packman will DJ, and also a DJ event to be held on October 22 at Shimokitazawa Live Haus (details).

5. Kenzo Saeki & CTO LAB. feat. Ryomei Shirai "Hitsuji no Triangle" (2025)
(Japanese title: サエキけんぞう&CTO LAB. feat. 白井良明 「羊のトライアングル」)
The group CTO LAB., formed of Tohru Okada (Moonriders), polymoog (Elektel) and Kentarō Imai (The Aprils), had been inactive since Tohru Okada passed away two years ago. Recently the two other members got back on stage for a special even in his memory, and now here comes a mini-album titled "Tohru Okada forever" of covers of songs that he wrote, including ones of Moonriders and CTO LAB. Featured is lyricist and singer Kenzō Saeki (Pearl Brothers), who had written lyrics for those songs, and also guiarist Ryomei Shirai (Moonriders).
The song "Hitsuji no Triangle" is a song originally from Moonriders' album "Animal Index".
The mini-album "Tohru Okada forever" will be released on CD on September 21 (Amazon, HMV, Tower (Japan only)).
6. COLOR FILTER "ICECREAM feat. Caoli Cano" (2025)
Color Filter has released today a new single featuring singer Caoli Cano. It's a summer song titled "ICECREAM" (Spotify,

7. ROCK-A-POPPY "Wakamonotachi" (2025)
(Japanese title: ROCK-A-POPPY 「若者たち」)
ROCK-A-POPPY (SoundCloud), toy keyboardist of Childish Tones, has recently released on SoundCloud a cover she sung of Sunny Day Service's "Wakamonotachi", a song that was released 30 years ago on their first album of the same title. The cover was produced by Nemoto De Chôbeaullet (Childish Tones), the guitar was played by Joe Nakamura who also made the track, and also featured is the myeahns' Ryōta Henmi on harmonica and singing.
