This rare and unique album of pianist and composer Miho Keitarō is getting a first ever vinyl re-issue. "Sound Poesy 'Sachio'" is an album first released in 1969, taking inspiration from a close friend of Miho, Paris-born car racer Fujisawa Sachio who died in a test run accident the same year. With a lot of variety that goes from jazz to bossa nova, instrumental with a few vocal songs and some scat, this is also a great concept album with racecar sounds dubbed all over the music on A-side. Read more in a review I wrote here, and hear audio samples at Jet Set.
This follows a CD re-issue in 2008, part of the columbia*readymade jazz-rock series selected by Konishi Yasuharu.
