Here come two new 7" cuts from a href="http://kinocohotel.org/" target="_blank">Kinoco Hotel's latest album "Marianne no ōgi" in which the band added some dance music colors that contrast with its signature garage rock style.

Kinoco Hotel are about to finish their tour in Okinawa, and can next be seen live in Tokyo part of event "Hardcore Chocolate Fest." on October 9 at Shibuya Tsutaya O-East, along with Ningen Isu, Billie Idle and Yanagiya Mutsumi & The Ratbones (details). Tickets are on sale.

"Nude" (Short version)

Here's the 2nd of two greatest hits albums covering the career of Hosono Haruomi. This one was selected by Oyamada Keigo (Cornelius) and contains 34 songs, entirely different from the previous one compiled by Hoshino Gen. Both the CD and LP editions will be released simultaneously.

Also out at the same time is a LP edition of the soundtrack to movie "Shoplifters" (Japanese title "manbiki kazoku") for which Hosono made the music, a movie famous for winning the Palme d'Or at Cannes 2018. The soundtrack was previously only released in digital form (, Spotify), and is being made available physically for the first time.

There will be special shows celebrating the 50th anniversary of Hosono's debut. First there's a 4-day series of events to be held at Ebisu Garden Place from October 11 to 14 (find all details here, tickets now on sale), then on November 30 will be a "special 50th anniversary show" at Tokyo International Forum Hall A, followed on December 1st by a show titled "Hosono Haruomi Yellow Magic Show 3" at the same place (tickets will be sold from September 28).

Childish Tones (Twitter), band that plays rock'n'roll with just toy instruments, has a new 7" in collaboration with Usakura Beni (of Avandoned). The previous ("Cruel To Be Kind / There She Goes") quickly sold out. This time are covers of The Hipster Image's "Make Her Mine" and Annette's "Pajama Party", both sung in Japanese.

Negicco has a brand new single being released this month! Title song "I Love Your Love" was written by Nishidera Gōta (Nona Reeves) and its recording features himself and Nona Reeves member Komatsu Shigeru. Meanwhile, "I Am A Punk!" was written by Mito (clammbon) and the track features clammbon members Harada Ikuko and Itō Daisuke. "yume・Dreamer" was written and produced by Negicco's main producer connie. It had been over a year since their latest new original release, album "MY COLOR" (2018).

The CD release is coming first, followed by a 7" edition one month later.

A tour titled "Negicco MAXI SINGLE RELEASE TOUR 'MAXI'" will be held in October and November, to finish in Tokyo on November 16 at the Edogawa Cultural Center backed by a full band. Find all tour details here. Also Negicco will perform on September 24 at an event for the opening of new venue Veats Shibuya (by Victor Entertainment). This event will also feature Nakajima Megumi.

This rare and unique album of pianist and composer Miho Keitarō is getting a first ever vinyl re-issue. "Sound Poesy 'Sachio'" is an album first released in 1969, taking inspiration from a close friend of Miho, Paris-born car racer Fujisawa Sachio who died in a test run accident the same year. With a lot of variety that goes from jazz to bossa nova, instrumental with a few vocal songs and some scat, this is also a great concept album with racecar sounds dubbed all over the music on A-side. This follows a CD re-issue in 2008, part of the columbia*readymade jazz-rock series selected by Konishi Yasuharu.

Perfume, who did their major debut 14 years ago this month, has a new greatest hits album about to be released! Included are 52 songs on three CDs, included are two brand new songs, "nananananairo" and "Challenger". Nakata Yasutaka himself remastered all of the other songs.

The limited editions come with a bonus Blu-ray or DVD with the "Future Pop" music video, excerpts of the "Perfume World Tour 4th 'Future Pop'", and a new episode of their "Perfume no tadatada Radio ga suki dakara Radio!" series. There's also a special limited edition that comes in special packaging and contains a deluxe photobook.

Most retailers seem to be giving away a promo clear folder (while supplies last), with different designs depending on the shop.

There's also an international release of the limited edition (3 CDs+DVD) coming to Taiwan on September 20.

On October 17, 18 and 21, at Tower Records Shinjuku, Shibuya and Kinshicho Parco, as well as many other shops throughout Japan, special prizes will be given away to buyers (details).

From October 16 to 27, a series of shows titled "Reframe 2019" will be held at Line Cube Shibuya (Shibuya Public Hall) (details). Singer-songwriter Tsujibayashi Miho (Twitter) has a 2nd album just about to be released! "ombre" is the follow-up to "Clarté" (2016). Included is a re-arranged band version of "Écran Le Blanc", song that was featured in Nintendo Switch game "Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun!". The album has several guest musicians, including Kurosawa Takasuke (Orangeade).

"Flash of Light"

Tokyo Killer, the instrumental rock band led by guitarist Keme (also of Kinoco Hotel), has a 2nd album being released! Included are covers of The Ventures' "Fuzzy and Wild" and Hot Butter's synth-pop classic "Popcorn", as well as many originals. This is the follow-up to "Tokyo★Killer Street" (2015).

The band also features keyboardist Ōkubo Kei (Urbangarde), drummer Kagiyama Kyōichi (cocobat, ex-Urbangarde), and bassist Katō Tarō (Beat Crusaders), with also two songs featuring Tokyo Killer's usual bassist Akko (ex-Go! Go! 7188) who is now on maternity leave. The jacket artwork was done by Sally Kubota (SOLEIL, The Scooters), who also directed the music video for "Hayabusa" seen below.

A release live show will be held on Sunday September 15 at Shibuya BYG, also featuring band Barbie Banks (Yazawa Yōko & The Stephanies).

"Hayabusa"

Hip-hop idol group lyrical school is back with a new album, this time on major label Victor! There are songs contributed by Nishidera Gōta (Nona Reeves), PES (Rip Slyme), members of Ana, Odd Foot Works, etc. The artwork was done by famous illustrator Eguchi Hisashi. Check out the latest music video below.

Songs "Last Dance", "Enough is school" and "Love Together Rap" were released in advance digitally, on new label Connectone (sub-label of Victor).

A vinyl edition will be released just two weeks later.

A tour titled "Be Kind Rewind Series" will be held through November, starting on September 13 at Blitz Akasaka (Tokyo) and to finish again in Tokyo on November 24 at Yomiuri Land NTV Lanlan Hall. There will also be some in-store events including ones at Tower Records Shibuya's Stage One event space on September 9 from 20:00 (details) and September 13 from 13:00 (details).

Band kataomoi is back with a new album titled "Liv Tower". It has been 3 years since previous album "Quiero V.I.P". Check out the teaser clip below, and also the special site for the release. Also, a 7" of "kankyō" (and non-album track Punk Rocker) released last June is still available at Jet Set.

Tower Records (which only ships within Japan) gives away a bonus CD of a full-length album of band "kataomoro" (formed of members of kataomoi).

On Saturday October 12, a release party will be held outdoors at the Ueno Onshi Park. Also performing will be FuchigamiToFunato with guest Emerson Kitamura, and DJ Moodman.
