Nakata Yasutaka (CAPSULE) is releasing a first solo album! Included are some brand new songs, including collaborations with banvox and MAMIKO (chelmico), along with some previously released tracks including "Crazy Crazy" (a collaboration with Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and Charli XCX) and "NANIMONO" (feat. Yonezu Kenshi).

The limited edition comes with a bonus CD of 7 remixes done for world-famous artists.

A special edition of regular party "FLASH!!!" will be held on February 9 at Shibuya Womb to celebrate the release. The all-night event will start at 23:00, and those who arrive before midnight and bring the CD can get in for free (only for the drink charge).

Here's a new single by Negicco! Both songs were written by Negicco's producer connie, although the title song was arranged and performed by Your Song Is Good. This is the first time Negicco collaborates with YSIG.

The limited edition includes a photo book of a show held at Niigata Prefectural Civic Center, and a time-limited download code for the title song's video clip. A limited 7" edition is also available. Tower Records gives away a B2-size promo poster with any of the three editions (while supplies last).

Negicco will tour Japan starting on February 17, to finish at Liquidroom in Tokyo on March 18.

"Calypso musume ni hanataba o"

This is a live album from a series of shows featuring Tajima Takao (Original Love) and Nagaoka Ryōsuke (Petrolz), which were held in October and November 2017. Included is a new song by Original Love titled "Happy Birthday Song", and covers of Patsy Cline's "Crazy" and The Everly Brothers' "Love Hurts".

The songs were recorded at shows in Tokyo (Shibuya WWW X on Oct. 18 and Ex Theater Roppongi on Nov. 12), Osaka (Misono Universe on Nov. 3), Fukuoka (Drum Logos on Nov. 16), Kagoshima (Caparvo Hall on Nov. 18) and Miyazaki (Weather King on Nov. 19).

A limited edition of 3000 copies is also being released but it seems to already be pretty much sold out. You might want to try your chance at YesAsia.

Kinoco Hotel has released a new live album of their 10th anniversary show that was held on June 24, 2017 at Akasaka Blitz in Tokyo. The packages includes 2 CDs (totaling 96 min.) and a DVD (of about 78 min.). Instrumental song "asayake no tōbōsha" is released for the first time.

Kinoco Hotel's next show in Tokyo will be on February 10 at Shimokitazawa Club Que, where Kinoco Hotel and KiNGONS will each play a 75-minute set. Tickets are on sale via e+ and Club Que. Also check out Kinoco Hotel's full schedule here.

Toshiyuki Yasuda has a brand new album out now! This is his 6th album, the follow-up to "Nameless God's Blue" (2015), although this time he used a completely new process to produce music which he calls "Version Up Music". Started in 2016 as a crowdfunding project, participants were allowed to give their feedback as the compositions evolved version after version, until this 10.3.3 which finally got released as an album. Some songs have guest vocals by Swinky, Sebastian Gullbrandson (Trombone) and san (antennasia).

The album is available digitally (on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, etc.), and otherwise as a CD which appears to be sold exclusively at CDBaby and Tower Records. The CD edition has an original wax seal on the front.

Toshiyuki Yasuda's 6th solo album. The distinction of his works, that is, mixing of Pop / Advanced / Emotional sublimates characteristic electronic music. Including compositions for TV ads for Kewpie and Tri Terasu (3, 4) which affected people's attention when broadcasted. The first music album produced by "Version Up Music" executed as a crowdfunding project by Toshiyuki Yasuda in 2016. It is a brand new music production method utilizing listeners' feedbacks like application or software.

The album title "Breaking the Silence" represents a dramatic silence between a conversation, a grand human history acquiring their first language (a slight African mood), the first word of a child, a stir into a conventional music industry and etc.

"dreamer" was a single produced by Nagai Seiichi (sotaiseiriron) in 2010, and the two songs on side B were taken from their 4th album album "Trace" (2005) that was produced by Kanda Tomoki. It's apparently the first time that songs by Spangle call Lilli line are released on vinyl.

Milli Milli Bar (Twitter) is the new band featuring pianist/singer-songwriter Yafune Tetsurō and singer Mia Nascimento (ex-Especia), with bassist Hishikawa Kōtarō and Sugata Naoto. Already having played some shows in Tokyo (some of which can be watched on YouTube) and having built a nice repertory, here's finally a first release.

The 2nd EP of Tentenko (ex-BiS) is being released on CD. This was first released on iTunes on December 6. Included is a cover of classic techno-kayō song "Robot" (originally sung by Sakakibara Ikue). "nantonaku abunai" was written by Sakamoto Shintarō (Yurayura Teikoku). A previously unreleased remix is included. A must-check for 80's techno-kayō fans.

Takkyu Ishino (Denki Groove), who just turned 50 on December 26, is releasing an box set of eight CDs! Idol duo WHY@DOLL from Sapporo (Hokkaido) has a new single coming, the follow-up to their self-titled album released last August. The title track was written and produced by Nakatsuka Takeshi, while B-side "Promises, Promises" has music written by Yoshida Tetsuto and is co-arranged by Hase Yasuhiro (Yume To Cosme). The two singers wrote the lyrics of the latter.

On release day January 23, a free event (1 drink order) will be held at Shibuya Glad starting at 19:00. Many in-store events will also be held from around January 11 until after the release. "Show Me Your Smile"

In the 80's, based on the Chikada Haruo album of the same name, director Tezka Macoto (son of Tezuka Osamu) created cult musical movie "The Legend of the Stardust Brothers" (1985, Japanese title "hoshikuzu kyōdai no densetsu") featuring Takagi Kan, Kubota Shingo, Issay, Togawa Kyōko and Ozaki Kiyohiko. However only a selection of the soundtrack was released on vinyl at the time. Finally, here comes the entire soundtrack on CD including previously unreleased songs!

In addition, all songs from the sequel movie made 30 years later, "The Brand New Legend of the Stardust Brothers" (to open in theaters starting on January 20), are also included. This one features some of the original cast plus lead actors Miura Ryōsuke and Takeda Kōhei, as well as appearances by the likes of Nomiya Maki (ex-Pizzicato Five), Inoue Jun (ex-The Spiders) and Natsuki Mari. Music was composed by Chikada Haruo, Akagi Chuji (Films), Takagi Kan, Kubota Shingo (Sunny Kubota & Old Lucky Boys), Kubota Haruo and Saeki Kenzō (both of Pearl Brothers).

Songs "hoshikuzu kyōdai no densetsu (2016)", "hoshikuzu kyōdai, tsuki e yuku" (sung by Nomiya Maki) and "Dreams Never End" were released in advance on iTunes Japan, etc.

The new movie will start showing at Theatre Shinjuku from January 20. Other theaters throughout Japan will follow. Also the 1985 movie will be shown at Theatre Shinjuku from January 13 to 19. Find all details on the official site.

Denki Groove kicks off the new year with a theme song for new anime series "DEVILMAN crybaby" that's about to start airing on Netflix worldwide from January 5.

Two releases are coming at the same time, one is a Denki Groove single of three versions of "Man Human" including a live DVD of 7 songs, and the other is a single of the song's anime version plus another new song by Takkyu Ishino and Nanao Tavito that's to be used as the ending theme of the 9th episode.

Also released at the same time is the anime's original soundtrack with music by Ushio Kensuke (agraph), Denki Groove's live support member. This soundtrack contains 48 songs on 2 CDs.

Denki Groove will play one-man shows at Zepp Tokyo on March 16 and 17, and one at Zepp Namba (Osaka) on March 3.
