Sugar's Campaign, the unit of Avec Avec and Seiho formed in 2011, finally has a first release coming! This is a single of "Netokano" that's been up on YouTube since early 2012, and included is an instrumental version as well as new song "Hong Kong seikatsu".

The package is said to include an original letter set, illustrated card and sticker.

Boogie The Machmotors is a 3-piece band from Hakata (Fukuoka prefecture). This new album features Nomiya Maki (on "Eleki-Trick") who has previously toured with them and collaborated on a Halmens tribute album, after which they appeared at her 30th anniversary concert.

An event will be held on August 31 at Zher the ZOO in Yoyogi, also featuring labelmates Budo Grape.

Towa Tei continues to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his solo career. Following remix collection "Towa Tei 94-14 Remix" released in July, here comes greatest hits album "94-14" and best covers album "94-14 Covers". The latter includes 6 brand new recordings, featuring Ino Hidefumi, Ikuko Harada (clammbon), Bebel Gilberto and more. The artwork of "94-14" is by Barry McGee (who also did the "Flash", "Big Fun" and "Sunny" trilogy), and the one for "94-14 Covers" is by Gokita Tomoo.

The album will be also released in the UK on label Thrill Jockey on September 23 (on CD and vinyl), though the Japanese CD edition below comes with 2 bonus tracks.

"She He See Feel"

Negicco (3-girl idol group from Niigata) and Especia (6-girl idol group from Osaka) join forces for a special temporary project named Negipecia! The song "Girl's Life" was written and produced by hit-maker Gotō Tsugutoshi, who wrote songs since the 80's for the likes of Onyako Club and countless others. The B-side also has music written by him, with lyrics by Hase Yasuhiro (Yume to Cosme).

The single comes in 3 editions. Hold your breath for the explanation. The nice-priced "Negipecia" doesn't contain the B-side but instead an instrumental version of "Girl's Life". The other two, "Negicco" and "Especia" editions, instead contain a different version of the B-side produced by each group's producer (connie and Schtein&Longer respectively), and a song by each group remixed by a producer of the other group (PellyColo remixes Negicco, and connie remixes Especia)... Are you still with us?

There's also a 12" edition of the title song and its instrumental, plus both vocal versions of the B-side.

A special event with Negipecia will be held at Liquidroom in Tokyo on August 26.

Funabashi city's unofficial (though insanely popular) mascot Funassyi has a 2nd single coming. This one includes as a B-side the song "Funassyi no kaimono wasshoi!" produced by Konishi Yasuharu recently, first advertised as to be only available on YouTube. Title track "Boogie Boogie Funassyi" is produced by rock group Kishidan.

Beware though, the Konishi-produced song is only included on this limited edition, which comes with a DVD (of recording, filming and interview footage), a sticker and a small towel.

"ii kurashi" (Original Japanese Vocal)

Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra have a new original album out now, marking their 25th anniversary. Included is a collaboration with FPM, and also ones with bands Asian Kung-Fu Generation, 10-Feet and Mongol800. FPM had previously collaborated with the band on mini-album "Speed King" (2000).

The album opens with a renewed version of hit "Peddlers" (the 1st track of their 1st album, a cover of a Russian traditional song), and closes with Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" that's been used in their 25th anniversary tour.

The limited edition comes with a 56-minute DVD of 3 video clips plus a documentary with live footage of their 25th anniversary tour's first day.

This new mini-compilation soundtrack for long-running hit game "taiko no tatsujin" brings four new songs under the theme "girls pop mania". Featured artists are blue marble, Her Ghost Friend, Phenotas (band of which guitarist/composer Yamamoto Shō has produced songs for Tarte Tatin), and Tanqun (duo who disbanded last March coinciding with their junior high graduation). The artwork is by Her Ghost Friend's Ono Shinobu.

The CD really has 16 tracks, with the 4 tracks repeated in "muzukashii" (hard), "oni" (demon) and "off-vocal" mixes.

The first pressing comes with a novelty coaster.

"Kerokero" (short version)

Some new sounds from Konishi Yasuharu coming this August! First is duo nananon formed of idol/actress/model Nana (aka Naabōdōfu@Nana) and model Maeda Nozomi, who are 20 and 21 respectively (with birthdays on June 17 and 16). They're often told they look alike although they think they don't, says debut song "Nana Nana Non Non".

The B-side is a cover of Pizzicato Five's "Baby Portable Rock" with lyrics adjusted for the two.

After the Horigome brothers split-up Kirinji last year after the release of "Ten", the younger brother (Yasuyuki) went to start a solo career, but the older one (Takaki) recruited new members to continue Kirinji.

Here's their first album of the renewed band, which features pianist Kotringo, steel guitarist Tamura Genichi (Little Tempo), guitarist/violinist Yumiki Erino, bassist Chigasaki Manabu and drummer Kusunoki Hitoshi (Qujila).

The limited edition comes as a SHM-CD (a higher quality disc that plays in normal CD players) and includes a DVD of the video for "shinsuishiki" plus 3 songs from a live show. The regular edition is a standard CD only.

A tour will be held this fall, stopping at Shibuya duo Music Exchange on September 23. Tickets are on sale.

Kaji Hideki has a brand new album coming this week! "Ice Cream Man" takes inspiration of Jonathan Richman's song of the same name. All songs are originals, and feature guest vocalists such as Nomiya Maki, Kojima Mayumi, Sakamoto Miu, Shoko, Kaseki Cider and more. Musicians include Horie Hirohisa (Neil & Iraiza, The Hiatus, pupa), Matsuda "Chabe" Gakuji (Neil & Iraiza, Cubismo Grafico), etc.

Free in-store mini-live events will be held at Tower Records Shinjuku (7th floor) on August 6 from 21:00, and at Tower Records Shibuya (1st floor) on August 24 from 14:00.

A release party will be held at Harajuku Astro Hall on August 22. Teen Runnings who just released album "Now" will also be playing. Details at Tokyo Gig Guide.
